History of ETEI, Titilagarh
The Elementary Teacher Education Institution is a sate managed teacher training institution in Odisha. The institution is working as counter-part of TE & SCERT, Bhubaneswar, fulfilling the demands of pre-service teacher education.
Elementary teacher education institutions are governed by NCTE regulations regarding staff pattern, Infrastructure and academic activities.
Govt. Secondary Training School, Titilagarh is located in Balangir district. It is one of the oldest teachers training institutions in Odisha. As the Govt. Elementary Teachers Training School working from 1973 with an aim to produce Elementary level teachers. Then in 1980 the name changed to Secondary Training School, Titilagarh. The nomenclature has been changed viz. The course name D.El. Ed instead of CT and School Name Govt. Elementary Teacher Education Institution instead of Govt.ST School in the year 2015.
